Your Support Helps Us Help Senior Adults!

The Sumter WineFest events will raise funds for senior adult programs.

Thanks to the generosity of corporate and business entities like you, in the thirteen years since its inception, the Sumter WineFest continues to raise funds to support and enhance the services provided by Sumter Senior Services to senior adults in Sumter County.

How are these funds used?

In addition to enhancing our existing programs, funds netted by Sumter WineFest have been used to purchase an ADA-equipped van and furnishings and fixtures for our senior center. Sumter WineFest 2011-2012 funds are earmarked to help support and expand services to a more active generation of senior citizens. Sumter Senior Services continues to provide many helpful programs for our senior population and like many service organizations we are experiencing cutbacks, but the areas of need continue to grow. Our agency provides transportation to seniors who do not or cannot drive. Our multi-purpose senior centers provide a hot lunch for seniors along with other activities including games, physical fitness classes and health/wellness programs. We also administer the home-delivered meals program (Meals-on-Wheels), and offer advocacy, counseling and referral services to senior adults throughout Sumter County.

How can I help?

Your corporate sponsorship will ensure a successful Sumter WineFest and greatly increase the net profit, which in-turn allows Sumter Senior Services to expand service delivery to a larger segment of our client population. One hundred percent of funds raised are used to assist senior adults in Sumter County.
